I think this helps level everything a bit more. I believe distributors will still have a place as we still have Upper Deck and there could still be incentives for them to purchase at bigger quantities which gives them room to make money. But all in all the hope is that this helps with the allocation nightmares that have been going on for too long for our hobby shops. We shall see how this all shakes out and even then there will be years and years of changes and adjustments to come.
I do have concern for my friends at the distros, but also, as a customer of the distros, who worked hard (and spent millions) over all these years to build allocations, if the distros go away, or revamped, no telling what could happen to my lifeline of products from those distros. time will tell.....

I think it is also a couple years away. Panini still has football and basketball. But that doesn't mean a road map for the future won't be made.
