The design reminds me of folders.

It’s not bad, though I’ve felt for years now that the base Topps set is basically the same idea recycled from year to year.

You don’t see really radical changes these days like you saw in, say, 1986, or 1971, or with Fleer in 1991 or whatever.

The that stand out, I always remember the year. I have a hard time remembering the others years. 😂

I don't hate it - I think there's a lot to like actually. The team name looks a little busy with all the lines going through it though, and the HEAVY drop shadow under the logo & color paths is obnoxious. The position indicator is fun (as opposed to just CF) - curious to see if utility guys get multiple dots. Probably didn't need to be as big as it is either.

I know a lot of people don't, but I like borders on the Flagship set. Especially if they're going to have another 8 billion parallels - makes it much easier to see the variety.

Initial thought isn’t positive but they tend to grow on me. The position identifier will not grow on me. 😀

Pretty blah to me too. After last year's great design this one is a let down. The only design I like so far is the Future Stars card, since it has more color.

I love it!!!

Not a fan of the “hollow” team name or the vertical placement of it. Makes it somewhat hard to pick up with the eye. Overall not a bad design though. Just wish Topps would get bold with a design every now and again like they did in the 70’s and early 80’s.

After seeing more cards, the see-through team name is a miss. If those had a dark border & were able to be read, I'd be all-in. https://www.topps.com/pages/series-1

I’d like it if the colored banner on the border matched across cards to the one in the binder spot next to it. It’d be a cool line going through a bindered set. Otherwise, it think it might be more of a distraction than a feature.

I like the simple design but the fonts are pretty boring

Not a huge fan of the team name stack sideways. I do like a pattern that allows the pictures to pop out from behind, like the piping behind Judge's helmet. The piping is fine, but at least it isn't as distracting as the 2021 design. It's got the team colors and logo, which I love. Not sure how I feel about the field in the corner, which I suppose will indicate their position.

Out of the '20s, I'd rank the design below '22, but above '23.
